Piano, Flute & Music Theory Lessons
About Me
I have been working as a music teacher for the last 12 years and I am passionate about helping others to discover and enjoy music. Since completing my music degree in 2012, I have dedicated my time to teaching and music making. I am currently offering lessons from my home in Lutterworth as well as visiting schools in Rugby where I provide music tuition, teach class music sessions and run a primary school choir.

Are you looking for a music teacher?
I offer private music lessons in piano, flute and music theory from my home in Lutterworth. I am currently running lessons in person as well as online. I can accommodate all adults and children and love teaching a range students and meeting new people - I usually recommend children start from 6 years old (but I am flexible). I offer a personal and friendly service, and take a great deal of care in ensuring my students enjoy their lessons. I am very experienced teaching the ABRSM exam syllabus and have helped lots of students achieve fantastic results in their music grades. I also teach plenty of people who just enjoy playing for fun - be that Beethoven, Disney classics or even Metallica (yes you read that right!)
For pianists you can learn on my Yamaha baby grand piano which is lovely to play, and good preparation for performing on different instruments. I am confident teaching complete beginners right up to Grade 8. I always try to provide material that is engaging and exciting, so don't shy away from letting me know what kind of music you would like to play.
Do not worry if you don't have an instrument yet - I can guide you on what to buy.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch with me.

Lessons are £16 for 30 minutes. I usually recommend 30 minutes each week but let me know if you have other preferences.
Piano Lessons
Each class includes practical and theoretical instruction, along with plenty of time to put your new knowledge into practice. I teach a range of styles to all ages and abilities from popular music, to show tunes and classical pieces. I use the ABRSM Piano syllabus for students wanting to take exams.

Flute
Whether you're a beginner who has never tried the flute before, or an experience player looking to improve your skills I can help you. I teach the ABRSM exam syllabus up to grade 8.

Music Theory
Music Theory is essential when learning any instrument, particularly if you want to take practical exams beyond grade 6. It is also useful if you are taking GCSE music, as you will gain a greater understanding of the music you are studying.
ABRSM music theory exams take place online and I can help you prepare for them. I can also help you understand the theory covered in GCSE music exams.
