Piano, Flute & Music Theory Lessons
About Me
I am a Grade 8 singer, pianist and flautist and I studied music at the University of Birmingham. I been working as a freelance music teacher since completing my music degree in 2012 and I am passionate about making music fun and accessible for all. Over the last 13 years I have split my time between teaching privately from my home and making music in schools. I am particularly involved with the music at Clifton-Upon-Dunsmore Primary School where I lead the school choir, provide weekly singing assemblies and assembly music, and deliver whole class and small group recorder lessons. I am also working at Bilton Junior School where I teach piano, flute and singing. I work with students of all ages and abilities, ranging from young children just starting to explore music to retirees looking for to develop a new skill. I am currently teaching piano, flute, singing, recorder and music theory. I also offer support to students working towards GCSE and A-Level music and accompany music exams. I am teaching online and face to face, with my in-person lessons being conducted from my home in Lutterworth where my students can enjoy playing on my Yamaha baby grand piano.
Are you looking for a music teacher?
I offer private music lessons in piano, flute, singing and music theory from my home in Lutterworth. I am currently running lessons in person as well as online. I can accommodate all adults and children and love teaching a range students and meeting new people - I usually recommend children start from 6 years old (but I am flexible). I offer a personal and friendly service, and take a great deal of care in ensuring my students enjoy their lessons. I am very experienced teaching the ABRSM exam syllabus and have helped lots of students achieve fantastic results in their music grades. I also teach plenty of people who just enjoy playing for fun - be that Beethoven, Disney classics or even Metallica (yes you read that right!)
I teach piano lessons on my Yamaha baby grand piano which is lovely to play, and good preparation for performing on different instruments. I am confident teaching complete beginners right up to Grade 8. I always try to provide material that is engaging and exciting and really believe that learning an instrument should be fun so don't shy away from letting me know what kind of music you would like to play.
Do not worry if you don't have an instrument yet - I can guide you on what to buy.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to get in touch with me.
Lessons are £16 for 30 minutes. I usually recommend 30 minutes each week but let me know if you have other preferences.
